On Sept 15th, 2012 Howard and Elaine Dustin (Belfair Farm, Lawrenceburg, TN) and Jim Lucas (Rocky Hill Farms, Collinwood, TN) set up a booth at the Waynesboro Fall Festival to promote the purchase of American Lamb from local farmers.
Dorper, White Dorper, and Katahdin as well were there for the public to see, pet and even feed. People were amazed at the calmness of these lambs, even when the band was playing.
Not only was lamb stew and grilled lamb available as samples, but lamb from wool breeds was also available for a taste test. Any guesses as to which lamb won out?
